Queer Media closes an intense year of culture, visibility and new milestones

The Queer Media association wraps up an especially active year, full of milestones that strengthen its commitment to LGBTIQ+ visibility, culture and artistic creation.

Over the past year, Queer Media staged two in-person exhibitions in Madrid, creating safe, open spaces where queer art could speak directly with the public, build community and broaden perspectives.

In parallel, the association took a key step in the digital sphere with the relaunch of the online platform queerart.es, which today brings together queer artists from around the world. The platform has a clear goal: to promote the visibility and recognition of queer artistic talent, offering an international showcase for their works and careers.

The year was also marked by collective celebration. Together with Cinesa, Queer Media organised a big-screen watch party for the Eurovision Song Contest, turning the music event into a shared experience that brought the community together around diversity, music and collective joy.

Another fundamental achievement was obtaining the SGAE broadcasting licence for the Queer Uno Radio project — a decisive step for this audio platform dedicated to the voices, stories and content of the queer community.

At Queer Media we look to the future with excitement and confidence. We are convinced the coming year will be just as productive, full of good news, new collaborations and continued growth of our cultural and media projects.

Thank you to every person, artist and organisation that has been part of this journey. Onwards.
