QUEER MEDIA runs regular open calls for LGBTQ+ artists, musicians and creators who want to exhibit, be heard or grow with us. All active calls are published here; if none is open right now, subscribe to the newsletter and you will be the first to know.

Active open calls

There are no open calls at the moment. The next Queer Art call will be announced on this page, in the news section and in our newsletter.

What we commission

  • Queer Art exhibitions. Calls for group exhibitions in Madrid and for the online gallery queerart.es, where work is sold and the artist gets paid for it.
  • Music for Radio Queer Uno. Demos, sets and sessions by LGBTQ+ artists — electronic, house, techno, ballroom and alternative pop — for the radio and our music label.
  • Workshops and training. Places in film and audiovisual workshops for young LGBTQ+ talent.

How it works

  1. We publish the call with its terms: theme, formats, dates and conditions.
  2. You submit your proposal through the call’s form.
  3. A jury of team members and collaborators selects the works.
  4. We support you through production, communication and — if work is sold — payment.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything to take part?

No. Taking part in our open calls is always free.

Do I have to live in Madrid?

Not for the online gallery or the radio: we accept proposals from all over Spain and abroad. For in-person exhibitions, each call’s terms specify the details.

Do I give up rights to my work?

No. The work is always yours; each call details the exhibition or broadcast conditions.
